Wow, when I was 20, dating a 40 year old seemed gross. Course I'm close to that age now, and more mature I might add, so I don't pay much attention to age anymore. I'm 34, and I think dating a 40 year old is gross....

Depends on how wealthy is wealthy. Bill Gates wealthy then yes. My wealthy then no. Of course I'm only 36. I have 4 more years to get Bill Gates wealthy to find out.

Happens all the time. Younger girls tend to dig me for some ungodly reason, and they don't know my financial situation off the bat. My best friend is 34, dating a 21 year old, and while I have NO idea what he sees in a woman who's idea of entertainment is MTV, they're happy. He aint rich... My boy 'White Jesus' is 49. Until recently, he regularly dated the 'barely legal' crowd. It's because he's cool as hell, and funny as a drunken monkey. Hell, personally, I don't think women have a functioning brain cell until they reach 30 (or older in some cases) but yeah, realistically, that 'she's with him cause he's rich' usually comes from a hater. Ah yes, what on earth could a younger woman have to offer? hmmm I wonder... probably just sex .... just sayin

This whole idea is far more insulting to women than to men. It assumes that she must be a mercenary calculating slut. Ok it also assumes he is a poor b^rstard who can only get laid by paying for it one way or another, but that is pure envy. Now I was married to an evil slutb1tch who was humpimg wealthier men behind my back the second it was turned, but an innocent (or stupid) part of me wants to believe that not all females are like that. (I also believe in the great pumpkin and that politicians want the best for us.)

thinking it is more of a daddy thing .. I would have to agree in some cases. I suppose to some women nothing is more attractive than a man that can take care of her, especially one with daddy issues.

Maybe she was looking for someone who is fiancially and physically able to care for her. She may have had a hard childhood like growing up so poor you never really knew what full was like. He could be providing for her emotionally like that. IDK I wouldn't date a guy who is over 30 but thats just me.
