I'm going to S&S motorcycle engines 50th anniversary party. The company has dropped 2 million dollars on this party in Lacrosse wisconsin. First they have free tours of both manufacturing plants. Next they have rented out the octoberfest fairgrounds which are 1 mile wide and 4 miles long. The fairgrounds have 7 bandshells and will have free bands on all stages on saturday and sunday. In the fairgrounds they are having a top 50 chopper competition with the top 50 chopper builders using S&S engines. The bikes are already built. Its basically a judging competition for a grand prize of 50,000 dollars. There will be T shirt, swag, and vendors everwhere. They have a speedway and dragstrip in town and that weekend is all harley drag racing associations shootout. And S&S is paying for everyones admission to the races. Free. They are also sponsoring street drags and AMA pro am racers like me can go racing for fun. They are also sponsoring the brewery tours. And last but not least- all this takes place along the mississippi river. S&S has chartered 2 steam powered paddleford river boats and are giving celebrity guided tours saturday and sunday of that weekend. It is the only thing that is not free. Paid admission conveyance. So that 4 day weekend is looking fun. 2 hours from my house. The only things we will have to pay for is food, beer, and lodging. There are 20 of us going down so far. We get our reservations next weekend. Oh and everyone is bringing their wives and girlfreinds. Me? I'm bringing a date. Ooooooooooo!
