i'm sorry i tried to revive my best friend, but when i went to tilt his head back the 2nd time i heard a sound and i looked in his eyes and knew he was gone at that moment...then ems came and worked on him for a long time but...it was in jan and everyday i still will start to call or stop by to tell him something...just now i can still see his big ass grin and hear his roaring laugh...i'm tearing up but giggling at the same time...sorry for the book and tmi...i really just wanted to say i'm sorry

i am an emt and i have saved and lost live in the same week and it affects you in more ways than one!!!

it makes you thank God for everyday he gives you on this earth and makes you wonder why your still here!!!

you'll be on an emotional roller coaster for a few days...and like dragon says it does put things into perspective really quick...you're human and it doesn't even matter if you knew the person or not...and you should feel compassion and loss, because you're a good person w/heart and soul...k swear i'm done now...feel better

Wow....I found a guy hanging upside down out the drivers side window of a bronco. He wrecked and hit a tree after launching 5 feet off a bank. It was at 3:00 AM. I wlaked up and had to take his pulse. There was none. He was pinched at the waste by the tree he hit....Then I lifted up his head and I knew him. He was on the same fire department as I was. That was tough to get through and then I had to hold back his son and nephew when they showed up on the fire truck that I had called in.
I know what you are feeling.....
