So I'm up at this hour because my dog keeps screaming, he is in a lot of pain. I don't think he has much time left, which is devastating to me because he is one of three of my dogs that have been my best friends since moving here...I cried some tears last night, first time in ten years. Sucks.brokenheart

I think he is getting close to a seizure but I am not entirely sure, he is going to the vet today to get checked out but with his age it's just a matter of time anymore. I would rather have him put down than suffering like he is currently, that is the hardest part.

He is old being as he is an English Bulldog, almost 9 years old. Matter of time, I just don't want him to suffer anymore and it's killing me listening to him cry.

I had a cat like that......she went through a few seizures. Scared me and her.......

One night after her last seizure I looked at her and prayed....to God.......ya whatever........God.......I prayed that she would go away to die so I wouldnt have to put her down.......cause I couldnt do it. I remember it was a wednesday and she went outside......I never seen her again.......blessing!frown flowerforyou

I will put him down if there is nothing that can be done, he is a good dog and doesn't deserve to suffer...like I said the hardest part is the suffering.brokenheart

We had a Docsine that lived to 24, and had seizures often.
The only dog that the family couldn't bare to put down.

Often times, we would dissolve some asprin into his water, to help ease his pain...
You might give that a try. Just a little bit, goes a long way.

we had a dog when i was little and he was 14yrs old. we had to put him to sleep, he had 4 heartatts and my mom just couldnt bare to see him in the pain..

my nephew first dog when he was little was a gold lab and he was awsome dog he had developed sezures and the meds wasent working so they put him to sleep, my nephew was about 15-18 at that time he was emotionally devastated it was like loosing his little brother. and then they got another dog and they had that one for awhile, i cant remember why they put that one down, but the 3rd one had cancer in her leg and she suffering alot and they didnt want to see her to go through that anymore so they put her to sleep over a yr ago...

now she was a very protective dog ,my mom had my granddaughter with her and the baby had fallen asleep and my brother nlaw told the dog dont let anyone near her, well my mom was talking to my sister and when she went to pick my granddaughter up the dog groweled at her, well she was told not to let anyone near the baby...

any how now they have another lab thats about a 1yr old. she not like the other dogs they had.

on there first dog that was my brother nlaw baby, he was close to that one they have a pic of him wearing a scarf around his neck and wearing sunglasses its cute..

one of there dogs was gun shy for some reason and there would be a few times i would end up calling my sister to tell her the dog was in the garage. there was even one time the dog ran off to some grocery store and the meatcutter though he was a blind mans dog and they were feeding him scaps untill my sister went to pick him up

Just get him there and see what they can do. Some times meds can help. Hang in! flowerforyou

I'm hoping for the best, thank you for all of your support and stories. Hopefully the vet can give us some pointers on how to help him with his pain or even some kind of med to help out. Good dog, hate to see him in pain.flowerforyou
