Topic: What do you expect on a first date? | |

Do guys bring flowers any more? Does our age play a factor in what we expect from the other person?

I took flowers on the first date and a teddy bear on the second.

I save the flowers for after the first date, kinda a thank you. I would like to bring chocolates for the second date, but, I am afraid there would be no date until after she ate the chocolates

Hi, Carolanne!
Thought I'd throw my two cents in! I once had a guy leave flowers on my porch after our first date. When I opened the door the next morning, they were there with a note. I thought that was about the most romantic thing anyone has ever done for me! |

Sounds great noblenan,Do you still have his number
How are you? |
|
|
|
I'm fine and you?
I do still have his number, but the odds were just stacked up too much against us. He's still my friend and every once in a while, he does something else slightly romantic and I flirt, but that's it. My luck, eh? |

I look for conversation & getting to know eachother for a first date. Flowers & such are for later, my opinion. I am very careful about the gifts I bring. Opinion, many jump to conclusions way to fast. Causes problems later.
But that is just ME. |

Opinion, many jump to conclusions way to fast. Causes problems later. But that is just ME. I may be totally ignorant of what other women think, but to do or give a token gesture (a small bouquet, as opposed to a dozen red roses)at any time means "I like you" not "I want to marry you and have you bare my children". Of course, if you don't want the lady in question to think you like her, your thoughts would be correct. I like you! |
