They have plenty of job security, It's called the Department of Homeland security!

The job security post was a joke!!

Try reading the op first.

I was joking too! laugh

I'm pretty familiar with the drug mess that has been going on in Afghanistan since we toppled the Taliban and sent them packing into the mountains.

It seems like all we're doing is helping escalate the flow of drugs, which will lead to more addicts, which will lead, of course, to more drug law prosecution, which just makes money for those benefitting from the "drug war".

It's the stupidity of having troops guard the very crop that supplies the enemy with the finances to be able to buy tha weapons they will use against you. They should either assist with a different viable crop, which would actually put more money in the farmers pockets or, as Gardenforge stated, pay them to not produce.

How hard would it be to start a few fires in the fields?

This ties into my post about the "war on terror" being a hoax, a joke.

We want to spend billions to kill them, but leave a blatant portion of their funding mechanisms, that would be easy to destroy, just waving in the wind. I'm sure Dorothy and Toto are pleased.

CIA developes cultivation and distribution of drugs?

Don't you know that's supposed to be a Conspiracy "theory"?

Maybe you want to ask Ricky Ross (prison), Gary Webb (dead, somehow he gave himself a double tap to the back of the head) , Cele Castillo ( being investigated by BATF, right after he appeared in American drug war)about that, Or you could just ask George Bush Sr.(Iran Contra CIA Coke), Bill Clinton (Mena,Ark. Coke), Ollie North (Rex 84,Iran Contra, Coke)and Noriega (Coke supplier, but he got dropped in a cell too), but I doubt they'd answer.

There is a simple solution. I keep telling people that prohibition don't work. We tried it with booze, didn't work so we tried it with drugs, didn't work.

Legalize the stuff, tax it to provide assistance for addicts. It won't stop the illegal trade entirely just as the repeal of prohibition didn't stop the moonshiners, but it will cut it down to a fraction of what it is now.
