"Scammers" are individuals that e-mail you, once they have seched the
site. Then after one rplies to their e-meil you will receive one back
from them immediatly asking for some money or other finacial or physical
assistance in an instant without hestitation. also a good "give-away" on
scammers is the wording they use. At times it is very difficult to
understand etc. underscoring of names and an immediate e-mail addres
included in their bio. It may also contain a phone number also. I hope I
got this right? if not maybe some other mebers can elaborate on the
subject matter.
I hope this answered your question Cystal.
All the best Peter1369

I daresay say most scammers who prowl dating sites are Nigerians. Am
I being stereotypical? No. I am also a Nigerian and I speak from
experience. Other ways they can be spotted are...One, they invariably
give their location as the UK. The reason for that is that Uk phone
numbers are notoriously easy to acquire through a website called
www.uknumbers.com. Two, you'll noever get them to appear on webcam, no
matter how much you press, they always have a handy excuse. This is
because the pictures appearing on their profile are invariably not real.
They are mostly pictures of online models. Three, you can also check the
IP Address of their browser to be certain of their location. Hope this
explains better...Keep up the reasearch though as these guys are very
sophisticated and are always putting in new twists all the
time...Thanks, samauthor.

this one scam inparticular has been around forever but it seems not
everyone has heard it. if someone offers to send you a check or money
order for any reason to cash, don't do it. they will usually work a way
into the line to make it look like you can keep some of it(free
money)but everyone should know by now that there is no such thing as
free money

the last thing I would call those Nigerian scammers is
"sophisticated"...

About a yr ago I received in the mail a check from China I believe that
was for the amount of 5thousand. It told me to cash the check and then
wire the money back to an address. I don't know how they got my address
at home but they found a way. I never talk to anyone overseas or that I
know of. Anyways I took this check straight to the police dept and found
out that it was one made up over the internet. Luckily I didn't fall for
it or I could have been charged.

you'd be surprised how often that scam happens and alot of people aren't
lucky enough to realize it before it's too late

Thanks Sam for this input.
I have my own "little" way to check out the "real" deal. yes you are
ritht on he Nigiran part. but these that I received originated in Ghana.
Oh well tht is besides the point. however though my research on one of
them guess where the addres let me to....?
The local Federal Building here in Manatee County. Well enough said. and
yeah the pictures, U are right on the money on that one!!!
