Err in favor of your child!
Defamation, come on daniel give it a break. These guys should know better and if they object then they shouldn't be around the child period.

I am not saying they should object. But the sad fact is a lot of people tend to generalize all men as being criminals or just as bad, and there are a few men who are so sick of that happening they are filing suits for defamation, simply because someone suggested they MIGHT not be a good person to be aorund a child.

As I have also said, I for one do not believe in intriducing my children to someone unless I have known that person for a LONG time, and things have been going well with us for so long to begin with. But htat is my personal belief.
