The wheelchair should make no difference...period.

As for the people, I'd leave and take her someplace where the patrons have more class.

If I've spent enough time getting to know that person, then yes, I would finish the date, and I dare ANYONE to make rude comments about ANYONE I associate with.

Yeah what Lily said..it shouldn't matter if they are in a wheelchair or not..and think about people..maybe said person was afraid to say anything about it because of previous rejections for being in a wheel chair...ya bet ya didn't think about that did yas...

I mean how much disclosure do you give someone?

Hey, I have a scar on my leg, one on my face, my nose is crooked.

This one time in band camp........

Give me a break, people are people. If you would be embarrassed about spending time with that person, it says more about your character than it does theirs.

Thats the point I was trying to make, thank you Lily for putting it in simpler terms. You've got a good soul.

What other people say doesn't matter. If there is a disability that either I or my partner can cope with and accept - that's fine. I have a disability and have been with a long term partner with a disability.

However, someone misrepresenting themselves in a big way - prior to a meet - is not cool and I would probably not stay long on the date or date them again. The factor here is honesty. I would wonder what else (i.e. marital status, STDs, debt, substance abuse, ability to keep a job) they were capable of lying to me about.
