VERY sweet!

Maybe the truth was too much
for a sixth grader
Maybe it was pre-planned
Who knows, really…

She found him in the hall
Pinned him against the wall

They were both shaking with anticipation
As she closed her eyes, (like they do in the movies)
together their lips joined
just a peck at first
Neither had ever really kissed anyone before
Excitement and fear raced
throughout both bodies

She was the first to part her lips,
he followed her lead
Her soft tongue found his
and lightly passed over it

He was amazed at the softness of her skin
and the sweet blend of her breath and taste

The kiss ended far too soon for both of them
She returned to the game,
knowing what she would choose if it came back to her again

And oh, these many years later
He still remembers
