is it ok for two girls to want to sleep topless at ages 6 and 8 ??

I see no problem with it. Why not? Not if others are in the room maybe...but I know I would rather sleep topless! Sometimes clothes are just WAY too restrictive. I have a son that only sleeps with his pull up on. Granted, he's 4...but if boys can do it, why not girls? Just make sure their bedroom doors are closed I suppose.

No one knows your home the way you do, do you feel safe letting them sleep w/o tops? If it's just the girls, why not?

As long as their personal privacy is not being violated, there is no reason why they should not be comfortable.

my 7 year old sleeps in just her undies as she has a high body temp at night. it makes it easier for her to sleep and alot cooler.
