my name there is the same as here....what really gets me is that they seem to be avoiding the step of intro themselves here and let me invite them to my yahoo, which I won't because of respect to boxer, but its my right to not their's.... I agree, I tell them that is why I am on a site so I can read your profile and not waste there time and mine.......  yep !!!

I do for the most part, but some profiles are really lengthy.......

Is there gonna be a test on the profiles? yes...50 questions, 10 true/false, 20 multiple choice, 10 fill in the blank, 7 short answer, and 3 essay plus a bonus question...the whole test is worth 150 points. Better get to studying! |

actually read other peoples profiles? Somebody just asked me something that is clearly written in my profile. About 90% of the people who write to me (talking about new people, someone I haven't dealt with in the forums or prior e-mails), clearly have NOT read my profile. I was on one site (a pay site) where I got constant requests from locals to go meet them at a bar. I would write back: "If you read my profile, you would know that I don't drink and I don't go to bars." Thankfully (?) no one on JSH who lives within 897,000 miles will even talk to me (although LOTS of them do go back to my profile a million times, and never say a word), so I don't have the "Meet me at the bar!" problem here. Sometimes, based on the level of spelling, grammar, punctuation, etc., I (consistently) see here, I think it's less an issue of "didn't read the profile" and more one of "CAN'T read the profile." But I doo knot want two dum it doun four them and mayk they're lif eazy. |

I am going to gestimate that 75% write "I don't know what to write here" and they most certainly would not think you knew what to write either, so why read? Why not just "hit you up" and ask questions you thoughtfully answered already? <--> Dedicated to my Sexy Lexy Lexicon.  Well, OK, I'm embarrassed, but I couldn't have said it better myself. Not without using 14 times as many words, anyway....
