I have submitted a few poems on that site, and they all have won a
prize. I have doubts that I'm that prolific even though my friends all
really like my work. Having it published is great, but not if they
publish everything everyone sends in. Have any of you had any
experience with that site?

Yeah, they are supposed to publish one of mine this spring. I checked
them out on the BBB, and they are legit, but they also have afew
unresolved issues. And it is for amateurs, but hey, U gotta start
somewhere.

Actually angelic I too have had poems published on Poetry.com and they
make this big tadoo about my work and send me all these
Editors choice awards and at first I was star struck but then I realized
they make money off of you because then you know you want the "book"
they publish your poems in so they are making money off of you at the
same time. I do submit tho because it is free copyright. I know my
ability and I have to say I did buy the book and the plaque of my 1st
because it was in honor of my father who wrote his heart out and never
got published. He died very disapointed over it so I dedicated my first
one to him.
I think its a great outlet for writers I guess every "thing" has to have
a way to be profitable.

I submitted one item there and after reading the disclosures and the
fact that you give up your rights to them I would think twice before
posting there again. Besides as Cybear stated we have a very good friend
who posts and copyrights the work we submit.

I just entered that site into my search and came up with a long line of
the name followed by scam. Thanks but no thanks, I will remain with
Phoenix.
