I think if you capture the VHS video to a computer video editing program using an analog-to-DV converter it will be your best bet, it's not as easy as it seems but you get a lot of features in the program to allow you to edit things out and what not to save more space like the previews, nonsense stuff and yaddayadda

you can buy the converter from radio shack, best buy or circut city, or just get a dvd recorder and hook it up to your vcr that will work as well.

I bought a DVD Player that RECORDS too. I can also hook up my VCR PLAYER into it and record the VCR/VHS TAPES onto a DVD/RW disc.

I payed about $79 for the thing at Walmart about 3 years ago.

GOOD LUCK! drinker

Ive had 2 dvd recorders since they came out. You could record copy protected stuff on both. Just put one in thats not copy protected, record a few seconds of th black screen, then pause th dvd recorder, put what u want to copy in the other deck and release th pause button. It seems that they only scan 4 th copy protection at th beginning of th copy. I do th same thing with rental store dvd's.
