Someone broke in my house and took my son's PSP, Wii, playstation 2. They also took money, computer monitor, weed eater, saw, jewelry, etc.

The Bible says vengeance is the Lord's, but I AM HIGHLY ticked off. I work hard and for someone to come in and steal what I worked hard for aggravates the crap out of me! How dare they!!!

Well... we live in some trying times. Those with less-than ideal morals will find the justification in breaking into the homes of the more law-abiding to victimize them at some point.

Gotta ask this, though-

Have you filed a police report yet? If not, you should and be as specific as you can with stuff like serial numbers and other identifying information as you can- that's about the ONLY way you can have a halfway-conceivable chance of retrieving your possessions.

Also- be sure to visit some of the local pawn shops in your area, as the crook will more-than-likely drop the stolen items off in such places for some quick cash.

By law, pawn shops have to put a hold on items for a maximum of 30 days (so they don't turn up on a "hot list") so that you can have a chance of retrieving your items. But you'd have had to to made that all-important police report to begin with.

Chances are that the mental midget who nicked your stuff is a low-life scumbag in the first place, which will mean that he/she will be getting his/hers at some point. Those with felonious proclivities often do, as they typically aren't the sharpest tools in the shed.

Coming from a person who's had some pretty expensive stuff nicked by a lowlife dirtbag back-in-the-day, I can say that it's not the loss of the items themselves but the EMOTIONAL scars that are the hardest to deal with. You almost seem to lose all faith in humanity after being robbed... you get hardened and jaded almost to the point of total apathy. Or at least that's what happened to me.
