lol i feel silly my best friend stopped talking to me after his dog "nipped" a 14 month old, hes says the dog was playing, i say keep it away from kids, actually i said euthanize it.
so now were not friends lol |

If it was my dog I would have told you how I felt but not stopped talking to you unless you became obnoxious about it.. Some people love their dogs like a child.. Not saying the nipping was ok but the choice should be to put the dog away and not let it around others when he has company etc... AND I say this as a person that was almost killed by a dog... |

this is not the first time the dog has "nipped" and a child/baby at that. i cant and wont excuse that behavior. if the dogs allowed around kids he will bite again. i dont want it to be my responsabality or child he bites. i already went through that with my daughter, she was 3 and remembers being bitten (she had teeth marks on the sides of her face).
maybe iam over reacting but i was the one appoligizing to the parents after the dog bite the kids mother the week before. |

the dog should go .. or the owner .. he should discipline
the dog if he is allowed to get away with it he will . trust me i used to breed dogs and they are like children , spare the rod spoil the child ... and this is in no way saying to hit it , but it needs to know this is not ok ... a newspaper smacked in the hand works well . if hes on a leash have him aproach a child when he starts his crap smack the paper in your hand hard and shout NO ! pulling back on the leash.. |

well was the child doing something to the dog to cause the dog to nip it?or have other children been mean to the dog?.i'm not saying dog biting is ok but children shouldn't be allowed to aggrevate pets.my dog will nip at kids but that's only if a kid if hitting her,kicking her,or chasing after her.
i do punish her for the nipping but i also tell the kids to leave her alone! |
