falling from space the heat burns my skin. fire in my hair, the blaze is almost too much. was it worth touching a galaxy to feel the singe of the crash?
I was a star, floating high and bright. I gave up that life by choice, the desintion by design. I would have never guessed the speed of the flame as my soul is reforged.
This is only the re-entry, now I'm a man vulnerable to the heat. I'll remember being light as my ashes spread.
When i hit, the Starman will know,it's better to glow in the distance than to burn with the bodies resistance.
I use to fly, s hit now I have to learn to walk.

This reminds me of a movie I just watched called Stardust.

A star fell from the sky and crashed on the surface of the earth in a cataclysmic explosion leaving a huge creator in the ground. After the dust and smoke settled you could see a beauitful woman laying in the center of the creator. She stood up and didn't have a scratch on her body or a hair out of place. She was also wearing a clean silken gown.

She was the star that fell to earth. laugh

Funny how the whole story was based on that silly notion yet they actually have you believing the fairytale! Like as if it could actually happen.

Nice write! Very vivid. drinker

I kind of sense that your write may have been an analogy to falling out of love? Or falling from the disappointment of a failed dream? Or maybe it's just abstract art to be taken however the reader likes. bigsmile

One never knows what thoughts lurk behind a poet's pen.

I could see it applying to a crashed relationship or dream too.

But within the context of detox it really is a vivid picture.
