doesn't Nextel have something like what you would want?
Not really a phone more like a 2 way or walkie talkie.

Ask work not to call when you are sleeping and if they do maybe give them a call when they are sleeping to let them know how it feels, bet it would stop in short order.

I've actually done that too...it works for about 2 weeks, then starts back up again...a never ending cycle...

If I'm right then I think they work nationwide from satalite. My uncle was a trucker and I think thats how he stayed in touch with the office.

Maybe a new number wouldnt hurt.. Talk to the people from work calling you .. tell them not too.. that simple, they may not listen but ....

my phone rings at all hours calls and text messages.. i leave it on 24 hrs a day because of my kids... i just throw it under a pillow and back to sleep i go

I'd love to...except if I get recalled and don't answer or report in, I'm toast...

There is some 1-800 number you can call to register your phone on the do not call list for solicitors. Ask your phone company.

Yeah, that's been done already...it's just constant wrong numbers...along with my idiotic 1st shift supervisor...
Go higher up the food chain and see if it isn't a violation of some regulation to deprive you of normal rest? I would buy a cheap prepaid throw away phone for the military and shut off the other one when you are getting critical rest.

I know what you mean about those dumb calls i have been getting a automated call from a collection agency for almost a year now.....i have called them telling they that i do not know this person and yet they continue calling ....dah they haven't figured out they have a wrong number yet? but they disturb my sleep too. Yet we can not stop computer generated calls on the no call list either doesn't help. i still get telamarketers ....they are so rude too and you can't even understand them half the time.
