Beware!In fact be deathly afraid,for this man who
reigns is no mortal in any sense of the word nor
does he hail from our country.His homestead is
Transylvania and he has cheated death for many of
centuries.His tattered cloak is moth eaten and
thread bare though it is his faithful companion
and has served him well.He has an insatiable
thirst for blood and primal screams.His chalice
runs over and mixes with the bone dry dirt that
has been packed down from his countless footsteps
to and from his lair.A musty and rank odor
emanates from his crypt that is overpowering
and capable of consuming all rational thought.
I once spoke to an aging priest who was clinging
to life upon his death bed.His final decree that
was whispered into my ear had provided his true
name.His birth name is Barnabas Collins and he
was the only surviving son of a very beautiful
heiress named Victoria.Under the moonlight his
pupils shimmer and are surrounded by a pool of
bursting red veins.His skin has become withered
and parched over the decades but his strength is
that of many men.It is said that he will cower
before a crucifix but I shall confess that this
is a mere fabled notion.Countless mortals have
been laid to waste by embracing such mindless
fallacies.He is a very fast,cunning and ruthless
predator who seeks his prey under the blanket of
darkness.He leaves no traces or sound beneath
his footsteps.He possesses razor sharp canine
teeth which solely seek soft subtle human flesh
which yields his very life source.The wind howls
through the branches as he stands along the
tombstones peering up at the pale fat moon.No
mere foolish mortals are his companions.Not one
I say.He is excited by the howling of the wolves
in the distance for they remind him of the his
true predatory nature.An infinite amount of
beautiful women have fallen victim and have
willingly given their souls to him for his
alluring nature cleverly conceals his true
intent.They offer their necks to him gladly
as if they were seeking redemption for those
who have fallen short of obtaining thee
fabled fountain of youth.Beware!I say for his
strength and immortality is increased tenfold
upon every victim that he obtains.A gravedigger
had once confessed to this priest that he has
heard blood curdling screams emanating from his
lair.His death had been welcomed with such
exuberance and was shadowed by such relentless
sorrow.Behold!I speak this truth to you for
within me lies hope that you will use this
knowledge accordingly and mercifully bring to
an end such a horrific bloodshed.I am but a
mere poet so do not expect me to act as a slayer.
May you gather the courage and muster the strength
required to enter his lair by daylight.For the
sake of humanity and timeless bloodletting it is
imperative that you undertake this grievous and
harrowing task.Summon your strength and lift up
his coffin lid without delay.Then you must drive
a wooden stake directly through his heart.Only
then will mankind rest peacefully each and every
night thereafter as darkness takes hold during
their peaceful slumber.Then perhaps these
countless victims along with their tortured souls
may rest in peace.This is my final decree and
ultimate sacrifice before my beloved readers.Seek
justice and peace accordingly.Amen.
