I was inspired to write this by a friend, it seems there are so many people here really wanting to find that one true love, but when it comes down to it, the one he or she likes doesn't like you, or vise versa.. and has even happened to me. So this poem is decated to anyone and everyone this has happened to and still might be happening to..

I look at you
you look at me
but it's not me
that you want you see

It doesn't matter how I am inside
or how hard I try
because i'm not the one
that fits your type

I have been here before
I have stood at your gate
but still you don't notice
you just walk away

Someday
in years down the road
you will think of me
and wonder why you let me go

You will think back in time
when I could have been in your life
but the person I am
just wasn't right

So you let me go
and paid me no mind
and you did it because
I wasn't your type

You may not think so now
but in the comming years
you will reflect on this
and shed a few tears

By the time you realize this
it will then be to late
because you never turned the key
and opened the gate
