Has anyone, in either softball or baseball, foul tip a pitch off of their own face? I pulled that off yesterday. Real smooth.

I fouled one off of the umpire's face last year.

Go ahead and laugh. It's funny. All I got was a black eye. I did have to explain that to my boss. I told him that he would'nt believe me anyway.

Fortunatly, all I got was the black eye.

Maybe a little bit. I got right back to the plate though. I didn't want that to leave a lasting impression. I was fine after a few more hits. Not off my face, mind you.

I was playing baseball though. Not as difficult as you think when there is a 90 mph fastball flying in.

I didn't even think about hockey. I'm suprised you don't hear more of that happening in hockey.
