When it's stormy out and I'm curled up on the sofa with my babies, I like to remind them that there are dogs that have to SLEEP OUTSIDE in weather like that.  They don't believe me. They've never known anything other than my sofas and my bed. People think they're lucky dogs. I am the lucky one.  your so right!

I also tell them that there are puppies who don't have a Mama (or Daddy).... there are puppies who NEVER get treats or belly scratches.
There are puppies who have to WORK for a living and never get hugs. No toys, and no fancy collars to wear. Lies, they say. All lies.

My cat is spoiled! I adopted her after she was sent to a shelter here after Katrina. She sleeps in my bed..she eats off her own plates not bowls,she gets outside time,she gets treats..loves belly rubs,and sleeps with a pillow and blanket! I think she thinks she's human!
