Three men died on Christmas Eve and were met at the Pearly gates by Saint Peter.
"In honour of the season,"
Saint Peter said,
"you must each possess something which symbolises Christmas to be permitted to enter Heaven on this holy day.”
The first man fumbled through his pockets and pulled out a lighter.
He flicked it on.
“It represents a holy candle.”
He said.
“You may pass through the Pearly gates.”
Said Saint Peter.
The second man reached into his pocket and pulled out a bunch of keys. He shook them and said.
“They’re Christmas bells.”
Saint Peter said,
“You may pass through the Pearly Gates.”
The third man began searching frantically through his pockets, and finally pulled out a pair of women’s panties.
“What do those symbolise?”
Saint Peter asked.
“They’re Carols.”
