OK. Sh!t for brains here is stuck again. bigsmile

My son has the test version of Microsoft Word document on his computer and doesn't want to pay for the upgrade of the full version.
Can he just install the normal Microsoft word from his Microsoft Works suite cd which he had with his old computer?
That was Windows XP Home Edition. And he now has the same as me. Windows Vista.

Probably, unless it was OEM.

Unless you are doing VBA, I would choose Open Office over Microsoft Office. It's the same functionality, but it's free.

"Abiword" is another freebie word processor that works rather well, too. Not only that, but it's also updated rather frequently and doesn't take that much disk space up on your hard drive, too.

depends, id give it a try./.. open office is a awsome free program that is compatible with Microsoft documents, if the cd fails, have him install open office.

yeah i vote open office.... but if you must have m$-office then yes he should be able to reinstall his old cp
