JB...ok but that is how YOU see it...not me. who decides one person's interpretation of a word or meaning is right or wrong? By popular vote. And the Dictionary I suppose.  ty...I was trying to get you in that direction first of all...I didn't vote and as far as I know there wasn't a vote on meanings and definitions second...the dictionary is composed by "man" and there are ancient words like can't be accurately translated. who is to say ole Noah Webster didn't leave out meanings of words that he didn't like???? Kind of the same as the Bible don't you think? You hold onto a book comprised of men of definitions but Chrisitans aren't allowed to feel the same as the Bible and what it says???? doesn't Webster define that as a hypocrite? I could be wrong though because I'm only human and so is Webster If you choose to disagree with Dictionary's then I have no case. But.. My point is that if people want to communicate effectively it would be nice if they used the same interpretations for words. The people who write and re-write dictionaries actually have to go by how people mostly use the words. (Some dictionaries might define fear as "respect" and "awe" It don't know.) But the basic and common meaning for the word is still FEAR. To be afraid for your life or bodily harm or punishment or whatever. Now the translation from old Hebrew text may have gotten turned around to come out with the word "fear" for lack of a better word. And I guess that is why the Bible is interpretated so differently by different people and that is why I don't take it literally or fuss or the literal translations. I do see your point though. JB If you are looking in the dictionary for a defintion of any word in the Bible, you are commiting two logical fallacies. 1) You are assuming that the word has the same meaning today as when it was first translated. 2) You are assuming that the original translation was a direct translation. Examples: "Nice" means "Nice", but in Victorian England, "Nice" meant "Stupid". In the Bible, when God is called "jealous" the word actually means "Possesive of what belongs to God". That particular word, which was translated as "jealous" can only be used in reference to God. In other words: In any Bible debate, if you grab a Webster's dictionary, you have just lost. You have to use a lexicon and a Hebrew, Aramaic or Greek dictionary (depending on the language of the orginal text). |

I THINK WE JUST LAY IN OUR COFFIN AND ROT!!!  All the more reason to be cremated! Or better yet, fed to the sharks! At least that way we get decomposed quicker and then become fish poop and then plankton food, and the next thing you know we’re back on our way to becoming a full-fledged amoeba! Not too far away from becoming human again.  |

BTW Webster defines fear as: transitive verb 1archaic : frighten 2archaic : to feel fear in (oneself) 3: to have a reverential awe of <fear God> 4: to be afraid of : expect with alarm <fear the worst> intransitive verb : to be afraid or apprehensive <feared for their lives> so there is a reverential awe which to me doesn't mean I'm scared to death of what God will do to me |

Uhm... interesting.  Your immediately in a spiritual dimension. Those who have accepted Christ Jesus - obtain rest & peace with Christ Jesus. The soul is very much still alive..., but in spirit. Heaven consist of various levels. Outside of the heaven \ city. there is a spiritual war. If the soul is still carnal in some of it's nature. The soul is not allowed to look upon the city, but is placed on the spiritual battle line outside of the city. Spiritual armor is given for the battle. The soul may fight for a time, the soul will grow spiritually, and will lose the carnal attributes. The soul is then allowed to enter the city. Angel periodically assist as needed in the battle it's mainly between saints, and shadows \ demons are spiritually insane beings. (very dark souls) A decision of souls: (Heaven or the Dark Pit) If a decision is necessary about a soul. This may happen, because the words spoken while the person lived. Mainly out of spiritual ignorance. Jesus does not accuse at all, but remains silent. Satan will begin to accuse the soul of sins. He will use the persons words again them. He will twist truth & lies, and twist Gods word to accuse the soul. He is very out spoken manipulative, and extremely intelligent will appear to have authority. There is only one way to justify yourself, and that is by Christ Jesus. Jesus said: "I am the door, if anyone enters by me, he will be saved..." John 10:9 Jesus appears but may not speak for a time. On both sides of him two prophets stand with him. Apostles may also speak for the soul. If while you lived, and you accepted Chris Jesus you will be fine. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. Romans 10:13 (Once saved always saved - HINT). Jesus judges the heart, and will speak for the soul. He as already paid the price of sin. Satan - can no longer a accuse the soul once Christ Jesus has spoken for the soul. If the soul has been spoken for by Christ Jesus it will then appear in heaven. Well, if the soul did not accept Christ Jesus while upon earth. It's not my judgement to even say.... If Satan has his way with the soul, while upon the earth...it's the pit(hell). Heaven has various levels: There are spiritual services of beings or souls. At the front, or in the mist God will appear in a cloud of fire, thunder lighting. His voice is like roaring water very dense, and also very silent soft at times. Where you stand in the service is how you lived your life for God. There will eventually be a new heaven & earth. After the rapture, 7 yr tribulation, 1000 year reign of Christ Jesus upon the earth. Final judgement of souls, and Satan's final judgement. (Peace) This is kind of odd. When I point out that God made us sinful in the first place so he is to blame for sin. I get back the answer that "we have free will, if God didn't give us free will we would just be a bunch of zombies doing his bidding" When I read this it looks like that is exactly where God is putting us at the end of the whole thing. So this terrible "zombie" existence that the loving God kept us from on earth is now our reward in Heaven? Is there anything consistent with this Guy? |

rabbit...did it occur to you that maybe not all christians believe the exact same interpretations???? so maybe....just maybe...that is why you might have different responses? I don't believe I ever said that I thought God made us evil or sinful in the first place.

God Gave us His Word. Man , thru Divine Inspiration , Wrote down what God Spoke . God's Word Stands True. God's Word is the Same ..Yesterday, Today, and Forever. God IS the Word. And One of the things God said in His Word.... is that..... JESUS is the WAY..... the TRUTH.... the LIFE...... and NO man NO man No man NO man can COME to the Father BUT by WAy of JESUS. So...the question asked here is.... Where are you going after you Die? Well.. I have a question for You now.... DO YOU REALLY WANT TO KNOW ???? Then ... Go the the Word and Read and Learn .... but First..... Have a little Talk with Jesus . Just Ask Him to become REAL to You ,If He is Who He Says He Is. And He Will. Jesus Is not a Joke, folks..... HE is REAL. I mean.... Do you REALLY think God was LYING in His Word? REALLY???? Think about this.....Seriously now...... Some of you are trying to find your OWN path to heaven.....thinking any old way will do..... when God has already CLEARLY SPOKEN in HIS WORD , thaT THERE IS ONLY ONE WAY!! ONE WAY JESUS!!!! Do you REALLY think God was LYING in His Word? REALLY???? Somebody is lying, thats for sure. This question assumes that the Bible is God's word, and it assumes that the new testament is not a forgery and that it is the truth. There is no proof anywhere that this is true. So we can't think that "God is lying," because there is no proof that the Bible is "God's word" ~~just because it was declared so by the Roman Catholic Church or the Pope or who ever declared it so. Let me ask you this. What will/would happen to you when/if you ever found out that all that stuff you have been preaching all your life turns out to be a big fat lie? How many people would you have lead astray down the wrong path and how would you feel about it? JB |

Jeannie...MAN turned Christianity into a religion.
GOD didi NOT do that. Christianity is about Joining Jesus, NOT a church or religion. The church is just a gathering of believers. God doesn't want a RELIGION with His People......NOOOOOO...GOD wants a REALTIONSHIP with His people..not not not another religion. God NEVER meant for Man to turn Him into another religion. Sure, one can and should go to church and fellowship with other believers.....and grow in the Word togetheer as one family in Christ......BUT again..... Christians are NOT joining a religion....we are joining Jesus. However, there are of course, people out there , who see christinaity as just another religion....and some of the "christians" out there, have never even accepted Jesus into their hearts at all. They think all they have to do is join a church, and that makes them automatically a christian!! Wrong. Nothing wrong with belonging to a christian denomination to fellowship.....but again...a christian becomes a christian by receiving Jesus..not joining a religion or church. The church (denominations ) are places for fellowshiping together and worshipping our Lord Jesus together . But again ..some people go to church all their life... and never know Jesus personally in their heart at all. God wants a Personal relationship with us ......NOT a religious relationship. BIG difference!! God doesn't like religion either !!

Jeannie.... we Christians KNOW that we are SAVED.
God's Spirit bears witness with our spirit, letting us KNOW without a shadow of doubt, that we are saved. Also, God's Word opens up to us, and our spiritual eyes are NOW opened TO recieve God's Word (our spiritual food)...cause we also become HUNGRY for the Word....just like new born babes are born hungry!!!. So ..Yes...there is NO doubt Jeannnie...We just KNOW...cause God lets us KNOW. No doubt. We become born again....we live for Jesus now. It is REAL. We KNOW cause of our life change, also. Jeannie...When we are truly born again, we become new creatures in Christ. And also.... we know that we know that we know that we know that we know that we know..... that Jesus Christ Is Lord!!! We just know...cause God opens our spiritual eyes of understanding..when we become born again .. NO DOUBT WHATSOEVER. WE KNOW!!!!

I don't believe I ever said that I thought God made us evil or sinful in the first place. No I am the one that says that since God made the Devil, Hell, the snake in the garden. That he is evil. I always say that the Bible makes it clear that God is the source of all evil. Then someone always comes back and says no it is "free will" that created these things not God. So my new question is. Will there be free will in heaven. Are there souls sinning in heaven right now? |
