Get one of those packets of deep conditioner from the beauty supply store that you leave on for 10-20 minutes.

I just do not understand how adding more chemicals to my hair will bring it back to life.

Try using conditioning treatments twice a week...although this will only help with the feel of your hair...If you have over-processed your hair its time for a haircut...and FYI...the hair shaft is the hair that extends past the scalp and its all dead..the only part of the hair that is living is in the hair root...

Dove has a shampoo and conditioner for damaged hair that I use. Also, go to Sallys and ask those girls. My sister in law manages one and knows just about everything about the hair products.flowerforyou

You could also make your own conditioner at home....mix 2 Tablespoons of honey with 2 cups warm water..stir until diluted...after you have washed your hair and rinsed...pour this mixture onto hair as a final rinse....do not rinse this out...

There is a "Hair" revival currently on Broadway. I'd ask one of them how they do it.

but do remember that when you are dealing with color and other chemical procedures...the girls at Sally Beauty Supply are not professionally trained Cosmetologists and can give the wrong advice..(no offense kitten)flowerforyou

Staple a pelt from a road kill racoon to your head.

They aren't professional trained, but they do HAVE to know the products. I wouldn't suggest otherwise. My sis in law is very knowledgeable. I color my hair, and she has given me things that are great.
