Mirror, I have been watching this thread for the throngs of Christians who are chomping at the bit to bash Buddha but I must admit that if this were an audible post you would be hearing crickets right about now. Methinks they are too busy defending their beliefs from the onslaught of your compadres to take the time to post here. I will bump this to see if a fish bites.

I was feeling that way when I wrote that I have moods just like everyone else. I certainly could have said it better Most of the "attack christians" hang out in the current news & events threads anyways

I am with ya brother! i have noticed that! that is why I avoid that forum these days. It is too controversial for me.

my aunt was married to a Buddist for a while. from what I remembered...they had good teachings. there is a good site online but I can't remember what it is. I will try to contact my aunt and find it for you

Good for you... unfortunately it's always the squawking, er squeaky... well you know what I mean- the noisy rude ones get more attention than the quiet respectful ones.

So many non-christians only see the threatening christian messages (e.g you will be judged, you are a sinner, you will go to hell, etc) and many christians here see alternate views as not just other options but as attacks on their own beliefs.

The worst is when it degenerates into personal attacks, some other current threads have that in abundance unfortunately.
