What do you feel a friend should be? I feel friends should be there whenever you need them! They should never turn their back on you, true friends don't! I only have a few true friends, but I'd rather have the few great friends I have than a lot of "friends" that don't do what they say! I had a few of them too! When I needed my friends around me when I lost my mom, they ALL said they'd be there, and who showed up? only my few TRUE friends!

Amen Sister! I also think that a true friend should be able to tell you what they are thinking about something you have that is not right in thier opinion. When my brother died I found out who my true friends are and I ahve held onto them for dear life. There is only one that still stands by me and I would fight tooth and nail for him! Nice thread... thanks for this!

i thought i had friends till the found out there wasnt no money and they were gone lol

I lost my job in January and I found out who my "real" friends are over the last few weeks. True friends don't dessert you when you're down and out.

True friends stick with you through good times and bad. They aren't afraid to tick you off when you need it in order to make you turn your act around.
