As if YOU want to meet someone and then you do.
And then you share intimacey with them,,,,,,and THEN,,,

for WHATEVER the reason,,you both find that YOUR NOT BOTH GREAT with what or how the other "THOUGHT" you might be..
You remain friends,,,but
NOW, you have WHAT???
Had sex and a short relationship with THEM,,,and then MOVE-ON..RIGHT??

So,,my QUESTION HERE,,,,Whats the difference between "THAT" and being what OTHERS would call,,A PLAYER??

My thought is that a player is someone who doesn't go after relationships but goes for the "fun stuff" and avoids any kind of commitment. I hope that is not how most people feel or they will be alone for quite a long time!

A player is more conscious about the game going on between a man and a woman. They are out for the conquest mostly.

The scenario you describe depicts two amateurs who bumped into each other and couldn't make it work.

Not professional players. Amateur players perhaps. Or just people looking for a mate. But looking for a mate is what the game is all about.

Most Players are just in it for the game.

To me, the PLAYERS are the ones that say that they want to meet you and NEVER do. I can't tell you how many men that I have come across that say that.
I don't understand why people in general would say that they want to meet and then never do. To me, I think they just say whatever they think you want to hear...and then that's it.

No...I think a person's real personality will shine through.

The are different techniques for Internet dating and being in Player in person.

There are even ebooks that will teach you how to do your profile for more successful Internet dating.

But doing it in person requires, body language, confidence, practice in social interactions.

A player can teach others how to better socially interact, but a real player is only interested in the game usually. They are not interested in a committed relationship.

The Player just wants another notch in his belt, but if you were hoping and trying for a relationship, you aren't a player, just unlucky in love.

For a player they get another score. The player's score is how many people they had sex with, or how many times.

They consider it a success, not a failed relationship.

That is the difference.

I think the difference is intent. A player has no intent other than fun & sex. I am thinking "That" to which you refer is an intended realationship which includes sex, but is much more meaningful & permanent. Sometimes it just dosn't work out, but if your intent went beyond just the sex then you are not a player.

People will be themselves online or off. I think the internet is just another tool, like the phone or a bar room. It may give you access to more people quicker, but it dosn't change your morals.

if you find someone offline and have sex and it does not work out...does that make you a player? no, not unless you do it with the intentions of "using" or "playing" with someone's feelings, etc.

I have done the dating thing from these websites, but never to be a player, I am to weak when it comes to love to find the likes of others.

I guess I am that guy when you have my attention, nothing in the world can focus my looking anywhere else.

But for now, I would say no, but maybe for other then can live that so called Player life style.

For me I am a 1 women man, but for now meeting new people and having friends is so much more my time then dating.

You probably need to slow down & take the time to get to really know someone better before taking the plunge. It's hard, I know, when you think you have found THE ONE, but after a few trail runs that didn't work out, maybe you need to change the course.
