The other night my power went off. My neighbors were kind enough to bring me a generator, and came to fetch it last night. They drove down in a truck with the three kids; the husband took the baby home and the wife and two older kids were left to drag the generator up the hill. I went out to help, of course, but I couldn't help being in awe of a marriage so devoid of sex stereotypes. I mentioned it to her, and she hadn't even given it a thought. They both just do whatever needs to be done, from childcare to dragging a generator 2/10 of a mile up a steep dirt road. I thought it was rather fabulous. I am interested in your thoughts. Extremely nice neighbors I would say. they are the best. I do their taxes; they plow my driveway. I babysit while they hunt; they help me open my pool. They use my pool, I use their beach house. It's a wonderfully symbiotic relationship. |

That's the way a true partnership should work. Why does it matter who does which part, as long as it gets done? I admire them for having that. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() DITTO fo me to. THATS just how mine was, with the exception that someting was way to heavy for her.. ![]() |

One office where I used to work, all the ladies would go get Kevin whenever the water cooler needed a new bottle. I thought that was ridiculous, so I changed the water bottle myself one day. One of the women said, "oh, get Kevin, have him do it." I said,"Why? I'm bigger than Kevin" A water bottle weighs about 45 pounds..not exactly unmanageable.
