I have been contacted off line by someone who says that saw my profile on this site. The problem is they e-mailed me at my regular e-mail address. I think this person is a scammer. I have two questions...
1. Am I fine in just ignoring and deleting the message and making nothing else of the matter?
2. How would anyone be able to get my a-mail address from this site?

Thank you for the help.

no one would be able to get your email off this site, unless you gave it to them..

It is spam they are then going to ask you to go to another site that you have to pay to read their profile.

THIS HAD HAPPENED TO ME 7 TIMES!!! Each guy says they saw me here. At first I asked how they found my email. Then, I asked for their supposed JSH profile name, and of course couldn't find it. Told them if that's how they found me, that's how they can contact me, thru JSH. One was from Africa... one from India. After the 3rd hit on me, I just delete. But, I sure am curious about how they go about it all. I think there are lurkers in here.... Got another LONG email today, "I'm new in town, saw you on JSH, living with a friend.... Some are IM's, some email. Creepy stuff!!!!!!!!!grumble grumble grumble

i get that from women all the time. and some r legitamate but most are scammers, they usaly want you to go to another site were you pay, these coputer hackers are a pain. then i learnt about the ignore button on yahoo messenger were they can never contact you again, its a great excessory

Just Say Hi never gives out personal information, if you are receiving spam email here, please report it by using the report abuse button under the email itself. Just Say Hi, also does not allow posting of personal information for this very reason.

That being said, if they are contacting you via yahoo messenger, and they are not on your list, then it's most likely a scam, simply report it as such and block.

If they are emailing you at your regular email address it's a scam. Delete and above all do not respond. Mainly these are sent out to grab a valid email address. If you delete, they'll simply go away. (They may try again once or twice, delete those too.) Once you respond though, they know the address is valid and it's nearly impossible to get rid of them then.
