UFO has been around since 1969. They were the first band called a heavy metal band. Had a lot of radio hits. They were the first band to use wall to wall marshall guitar amps as a stage backdrop. They were the first band that people held their bic lighters up in effigy to the band- 1972.

The band UFO was known for their 11 to 17 minute guitar solos and excessive partying and all around strangeness. So much so they made a parody movie about them called 'spinal tap'. Repleat right down to pete ways spandex pants.

UFO has been on hiatus for 15 years. In 2006 they put out a new album and decided to tour. But to make it profitable they played the best venues. Rio, paris, london, budekhan, LA, and new york. The little guy like me was left out.

Friday night they play the medina entertainment center in medina minnesota. Its the largest indoor auditorium in the state. They will be playing in a dinner theatre setting minus dinner- just alcohol.

Vinnie on guitar. Phil mogg singing. Andy parker on drums. And simon wright- the drummer for AC/DC is with them in case andy can't finish the show because andy shattered his leg at a show last fall and had steel plates and pins put in. This shows gonna be wierd all the way around. 26 bucks to get in. I'm psyched
