I've only been on this site. But, I've heard good and bad about paid. I figured, if this is a bust, at least I won't have wasted money. BUT, I have seen many faces from here on Plenty of F!*& and yahoo, etc.

pff not worth the money. Was lookin at one the other day just for sh*ts and giggles... After settin up my free pro they prompted me to pay.. about 200 for a year.. As I laughed hysterically... I deleted said account

I was on a pay site from Feb. - May of 2006. Lots of mail, mostly from locals -- I was contacted by 174 of their members in the 3 months -- but not a decent one in the bunch.
It was always "Hey, I saw your profile and I'm just a couple miles away from you. Why don't you meet me at [name of bar] tonight around 8:00?" And I wrote back and said, "If you actually read my profile, you would know I don't drink and I don't go to bars." Oooooops.... And there were some major weirdos. One girl e-mailed me 26 times in one day. Her profile picture was her hiding behind some curtains. Well, I don't know for sure if that was really her, but that was her story. It could have been an ostrich behind the curtains, for all I know. |

The funny thing is, I let the thing lapse after May of '06 -- but the account is still up, and I average about one new message a day over there, even now.
Since I'm not a paying member, I couldn't do anything about those, even if I wanted to -- "free" members can't send e-mails -- unless the person who contacts me is a paid member, which occasionally happens -- but there just has never been anyone on there who seemed even remotely compatible. |
