If you were alone,unarmed, and happened upon an assault in progress with 5 guys attacking someone, in a desolate area late at night, what would you do? No hope of anyone helping, no cell phone reception, just you. They haven't seen you yet. would you; hide run yell or join the fracas?

my first instinct would be to help the person being attacked but I would try to asses the situation so we didn't both get killed. There's always SOME sort of weapon or diversion you can find. I couldn't just stand there while someone was getting beat to death

i think that is very difficult to decide while sitting on the couch at home right now. i usually don't hesitate to help others, but then again, i don't know what i would do. i was never in a situation you have described above...and i hope i never will be.

I'll have to pass on this one.. I'd be the first one dead in the process... I don't even want to think of that kind of situation.. I hope this is a hypothetical question... and u are safe...

Having considered the matter greatly, I think I would probably say "If I'm not there, start without me". Seriously, though, I would do everything I could to help.

of course I would run like hell trying to find help.. but little ole me against guys... it's a given..I would be the first 1 down.. now if it had to do with females.. then I'd help..with accessing like Jill said..

There's no way to know until you're in the situation. that is not true imho. People are preprogrammed for fight or flight. I thinkyou know in your heart what you would do

I've reacted in situations that surprised me and walked away from others that really wouln't have required that much of me. I stand by my statement.
