i want alert others about an imposter among us but there are so many rules taht prevent me from doing so.... so what do i do????? The thing to do is report the imposter to the admins and let them deal with the situation. Mods are limited to forum issues, and unless the imposter is posting something problematic in the forums, all we can do is turn it over to admin anyway. The other thing that comes into play here is we can't necessarily assume that every accusation is valid. There have been instances of people making false accusations against other users, for whatever purposes and agendas they had; and claims such as these need to be properly investigated. The rules you're speaking of are strictly designed to keep accusations off of the forums, but you are in no way constrained from making a full report, with the name and everything, to the admins. All you have to do is go to the imposter's profile and click on "Report Abuse." The situation will be looked into. |
