See Matthew 28:1-15

Jesus' resurrection caused a big stir in Jerusalem. A group of women moved quickly through the streets, looking for the disciples to tell them the amazing news that Jesus was alive. At the same time, a group of religious leaders tried to cover up the Ressurection.

The same two choices exist today: to believe that Jesus rose from the dead, or to be closed to this truth -- denying it, ignoring it, or trying to explain it away. What's your choice?

My 3rd choice, too. This time I'm stickin' with it. Things are too much of a mess for me without.

Come on yasha, isn't your question a little on the condemning side? I believe the resurrection to be true but you aren't exactly offering up a debate as much as condemning those who believe differently. Rabble rousing would be a good description of your intention here in this thread?

What's your choice?

My choice is to be honest.

I think that’s what a God would appreciate most. Honesty.

And to be honest, I wasn’t there. All I have to go on is a lot of ambiguous muddled hearsay that has been studied by theologians for over 2000 years and even they can’t come to a consensus. Clearly the Jews do not believe that Jesus rose from the dead.

It’s just a bunch of hearsay that I can’t possibly know the truth of.

Therefore, if I wish to be honest with God, I have no choice but to confess that I honestly don’t know what’s true and what isn’t true.

That’s my gospel truth. This is the only thing I can say to a God with all honesty.

Anything else would be a lie in the hope of maybe appeasing the God or some such other nonsense.

I think it would be wrong to choose to believe something just for the sake of hoping to appease a God.

The truth is that I don’t know what they hell went on 2000 years ago. And I think God would be pleased that I’m honest enough to be truthful about what I know and don’t know.

I don’t think God would want me to pretend to believe something that I really don’t know is true. ohwell

Actually, Zapchaser, you're right. I hadn't thought of it that way. Sorry. Not my intention at all. But, I did think the question and how it was expressed was rather interesting when I read it and thought I'd post it here for y'all's consideration and response.

You came up with answer #3 to a two answer question. Pretty cool. It's one of the none of the above things.

Thanks for the input and again, didn't mean to offend, just to offer food for thought and an interesting perspective on a story I'd heard before but never considered all the implications of.

Oh it's going to happen.....Jesus is going to come clothed in white on a white horse and take back the throne. And I will be truly blessed if I am a witness to this.
