could use some prayers. really stressing about starting my new position tomorrow. it is way more in depth than i thought it was going to be. the program's life depends on my ability to get things done in the next 6 months to a year. sounds like a long time, but when you are starting from the ground up, its not. they have no data base so i have to build it, no funds so i have to write grants like a mad woman, build the programs that are existing and create new ones, recruit as many volunteers as i can, go into all the schools in the tri county and get them involved, plan some public speaking and get the word out on this program, PR PR PR!!!!! plan some major fundraising, etc..... im an intelligent person, but yet, i just hope that i can do this. after going to atlanta all week and discovering what all had to be done, i began to panic....

ive worked with elderly all my life, so im doing a switch and working with children. its a literacy project which is so important. in a sort, i feel like im going in it blind since it isnt my forte so to speak. ive never really worked with children or child programs before.

I know it seems overwhelming but just take a deep breath, relax, break everything down into steps and take it one thing at a time (ok, well, maybe 2 or 3). You'll be fine, you're a tough, smart woman and you CAN handle this
