For those of you who read/ responded to the thread last night I did, update: He did not show up today, not a call-text-NOTHING!!! We had a great time, and she really had a great time at her party, but then tonight, well lets just say we got home about 30 mins. ago from the emergency room, and Mashona has a broke arm. Long story, but makes for a HORRIBLE night. Kids are asleep now, and I thought that maybe I could get on JSH and be cheered up by you great people.

I'm sorry to hear that, for your daughter's sake.

I'm sorry to hear that, for your daughter's sake. But were you surprised? About that he did not show up? NO, I was not, but I guess that deep down in my heart I was hoping that he would for her emotional well being, she was so excited that he said he was coming. Wednesday night at church she even told some people-my aunt for one- that her dad was coming to her party. She said she is ok with him not coming, that she had the best party ever, but I know that has to bother her. I just told her when we were riding in the truck today that if she ever wanted to talk about it, or anything, I AM ALWAYS here for her. |

I understand where you're at. I have a 13 & 16 yo, and their mother walked out and went to Texas (we live in NC). My son is working through it, but my daughter (13) is having a harder time coping.

Til' the day I die-hopefully no time soon- I will never understand how a person can turn their back on their child (by choice of their own-don't get it twisted)... I will not ever be able to grasp that concept, and I have absolutely no respect for people who have done so... I strongly feel that those people will have to answer to a higher power one day, so their time is coming, eventually. |
