The advice I hear a lot in relationships is "Be yourself."
The "Take me as I am." attitude is fine, but not if you are a jerk and not willing to become a better person. In order to "Be yourself" you have to know who your are, and many people don't really know much about themselves. Some people don't even know how to be honest with themselves. In order to be yourself you have to have some sort of self image. How well do you know yourself? Do you know who you are? Do you know what you want? What do you have to offer to another person? |

I know who I am, I am honest, caring and compassionate. I know myself well enough to know that I will not be used or taken advantage of ever again. I have become strong over the past years, had to be.
I want simple things in life, a good man and a relationship with honesty and communication, very important. I have a lot of love for the man in my life. I always give 100% of myself when with a man, and although a man can't always do that I am willing to accept him for that regardless. And yes, be yourself is very important, I learned that as a result of the fear I had about meeting someone new. He accepted me for me and that is what it is all about. |

I'm a racy, edgy, confident woman. Quite intelligent and witty. I'm corporate. Sophisticated city. Great sense of humor and FUN to be with. Sensual and sexy. Passionate about life & love. Intense in my emotions. Especially when it comes to football  I know I love FAST & life on the edge. Love rock music, have rhythm in my soul. I'm a fast lane kinda personality. Color outside the lines. Take risks. Establish the beachhead. I'm always the one to speak my mind & take one for the team. LMAO I am NOT a groupie & will do something different just to BE different. *sigh* I know. I'm hopeless I can be a spoiled brat .. and a b*tch, but I turn it around to have fun so you'll always forgive me  I love fine things..champagne taste/beer pocket book. So what? That's what credit is for I adore my kids, God and am a loyal friend. I care about the down and out, especially kids. I'm not real 'merciful' and don't like listening to sob stories or attending pity parties, but I'll defend someone to the death if they are being bullied. I stand up for what I believe to be right. I dont believe any of us know truely who we are.....We may think we do....I am very comfortable with who I think I am.
I have found that life presents us with many challenges and how we react is sometimes a surprises to us...each day I learn something new about myself, and I perceive that to be a good thing. |

*Immensely. I never suprise myself with what to do or say. Do you know who you are? *yes. All of the good and quirks, it makes me who I am. Do you know what you want? *More than anything. What do you have to offer to another person? *Empathy, loyalty, insight, good intentions, selflessness, it goes on and on. I more than offer it, it's who I am every day. |
