If your feelings are strong, fight for it. Those feelings are'nt likely to die if she's with somebody else. Don't regret not giving it an effort now. 18 years is no joke.

Give her space to get over her last relationship. 18 yrs is a great friendship. Don't lose it. good luck.

Pining over someone who won't reciprocate might really be cutting off some truly magical experience you could have with someone else... if you've laid your feelings out on the table and she hasn't returned the favor, chances are good she never will... will it be worth giving up other possible loves if she never caves?

Sounds like the classic guy/girl friendship: One usually has stronger (mayber secret) feelings for the other and it never seems to work. I'm sure it's tough, but you should try and move on.

Definately dude. If she is a true friend just try and realize how she if feeling (whether you like it or not) and be there for her as a FRIEND and only a FRIEND for the time being.

That's pretty sad. One thing that I've noticed about my Woman friends; they don't try to sleep with your girlfriend like the guys will (well most of them) and they usually smell alot better as well. I say guy/girl friendships ftw
