I don't belive that the Christian God was meant to be all hellfire and
brimstone, he's about love, peace and caring for your fellow man. At
least that's what my momma tried to teach me about her faith. I am not a
Christian, but I still believe that love,peace and caring for your
fellow man are the base for most religions and it is the base of mine.

The vengeful, wrathful God was the Old Testament altho here and there
were still messages of His Love. The New Testament shows a more loving,
compassionate God. The gift of His Son shows us that. In the Old
Testament, ppl had to sacrifice virgin animals to God as their way of
asking for forgiveness. Now, it's so easy, just believe and allow Jesus
Christ into your heart. That's how much God loves us. One simple act of
faith and all we have to do is ask God thru Jesus to forgive our sins.
No middle men(or animals as the case may be lol) No "confessionals" to
confess to another man. The act of confession should be a personal thing
between us and God and the Bible tells us EXACTLY how to achieve that.

if everybody they said was going to hell really did then there would be
no reason for heaven it'd be awful boring and all the saints would
change addresses. we're all guilty of something and we'll all be guilty
of more perfection is not key it's realizing your screwed up and knowing
your gonna screw up more later adn asking forgivness adn knowing God
will and will kep on forgiving. Just my screwed view but hey it works
and i made my peace w/God long ago.
