not this week so far. brook will be up from bossier on wed and probably stay through the weekend and leave next week sometime. he and i will run around a little. other then that just working on getting the numbers up at the store.

a good loan base is important. but its better if they pick it up and not leave it all the time.

probably never. bo is looking at some property somewhere in mississippi, wants a store in nashville and baton rouge. gotta keep them down here so he can go somewhere each week and have a vehicle. he don't like to fly.

legally here we can only charge 6% interest but we can charrge as much of a service/storage fee as we want. it works out to 33% here. in louisiana its 20% and i don't know about mississippi.

So is there really decent money in owning a pawn shop? I would think the overhead would kill ya. And doesn't the % return change based on how long they have their stuff staying with you and how large or high price the item is?

i'm fairly easy. brook hired me to come here learn the business and then take a store. then become the traveling manager and go to all the stores like he does. the up side is i start out good money wise and get 2 good raises over 12 months. at the 12 month point i also get a monthly bonus based on sales and loan base.

% STAYS THE SAME. THE BIGGER THE LOAN THE MORE YOU MAKE. WE SELL ALL NEW CAR AUDIO AND GUNS. OVERHEAD IS HIGH. THE STORE HERE USED TO BE THE LOCAL TARGET. BO BAUGHT IT. HE OWNS ALL THE PROPERTY AND BUILDINGS WE HAVE STORES IN. AND HE'S ONLY 39 WITH 6 STORES.
