ok, i was just informed that my yahoo messenger appeared as ON to a friend all day, my computer was turned OFF, not even in stand by, i've been at work all day, it's not on high speed or a cable or sattelite connection, just dial up
any idea whats going on?

It's quite simple, really. It just happens. Glitch in the system. It doesn't happen very often anymore...but it does happen. I wouldn't call the cyber-police just yet.

if you log into a chat room and then after that you log out of the messenger it will show you are still online

there has been a few times when i sighned into messenger that my computer said i was sighned in on a different computer or yahoo messenger quit all of a sudden and i just sighn in again sometimes 4 or 5 times and im back in
