Not so very long ago
My heart and soul was lost forever
In its place is heartache and emptiness
Time marches on
But the darkness is never far behind
His love lingers everywhere
Soaked into every fiber of my being
Still I march to the beat of a sorrowful drum
Longing to be revived
Love like I never lost him

Sometimes I think tears are the hearts way of bleeding
