still have to say nope...Reproduction has never been a driving force...

I'll have to get back to you on that one, my brain is not up to speed today!!

It might be helpful if those of you saying yes would explain what you are agreeing with, exactly.

I like to practice reproducing...ummm...and surviving |

...and that, kids, is the reason why I enjoy spending time to myself just thinking. Because there is no better way to survive or reproduce than to go off by yourself and induce a less than capable mental state while listening to loud music in headphones effectively shutting out the world.
Sorry, I'd have to say no. Though I do think it accounts for how we developed most of what we do...but I think we have come too far...I mean there are people out there who have no interest in reproducing. Period. |

Man is the only animal besides chimp I think I hear who have sex for fun. although reproducing is not a means of survival anymore, we still have the basic need to do so pre-programmed into our DNa. Just like the male is programmed to be the provider. That does not hold true anymore. but they are still there, just facts of basic bioloogy.
and the decisions I mean are not trivial choices like choosing cereal...........c'mon people think. |

If you aren't talking about just trivial choices then I'd have to say yes. The important decisions in life are probably always based on some type of surival instinct. Even the schools we send our children to I think is a choice we make (if we have that choice) in order to give our offspring a better chance of future survival. |

The basic instinct to survive and reproduce drives every decision a human makes? sure if you are a forest creature, or a barnyard animal.... Peccy, have you slept today?? A nap might be in order dear... |

still have to say nope...Reproduction has never been a driving force... Same here -- I have never had any desire whatsoever to reproduce... And I'm wondering how something like heroin addiction would figure into "survival and reproduction" -- |
