saying prayers for you no matter what you decide, but brain surgury has come a long way now days & have heard many sucess stories.
My lil bro has a tumor inside his spinal cord and chose not to have surgery. So best of luck to you and again, will keep you in prayer. |

Get a second opinion too. They have so many different kinds of treatment now too, gamma knife that uses radiation to "surgically remove" the tumor without cutting into the brain and stereotactic surgery. There are lots of different types of treatments. Call the Cancer Society, they have all kinds of information. I am sure they will send you to an oncologist too who can help you sort things out. I have heard of the Cancer Care Alliance Treatment Centers who use a more alternative approach too, may want to call them and see what they say.
You will be bombarded with information while you go through this process and have decisions to make, have a friend or relative go with you to help you sort through it, it is a lot to deal with. Talk to other cancer survivors too to get their opinion if you want. Don't try to go it alone though, is a lot to deal with. Take care and I will keep you in my prayers. But never give up, you can never say never in medicine. How many times have you heard of someone being told they have 6 months or whatever and they go on for 15 or 20 years of good life yet, or even live to be 90 years old, so don't give up and keep fighting it. I truly believe a good deal of the fighting the cancer is your attitude. Take care. |
