A son picked up his phone two days before Christmas. His dad was on the
line. He sounded very depressed and downhearted. "Son, you're mother
and I are getting a divorce. We hate to tell you with Christmas just 2
days away, but we can't stand it anymore." "No!" shouted the son.
"Just cool off. I'll be there as soon as I can get a flight. I'm
calling my sister too. Don't do anything till we get there!"

A few minutes later the dad's phone rang and it was his daughter on the
line. "Dad, you and mom have not thought this through. You've been
together for 35 years. You CAN'T get divorced. I'm catching a flight
tomorrow."

The dad hung up the phone and turned to his wife with a big smile on his
face. "It's all set honey. Both kids are coming for Christmas and
they're paying their own way!"
