LMAO, your not we were discussing recipes on pg 2 or 3 forget and I said
verbatum what you did about chicken soup so just laughing as its de ja
vu.

Tomato Soup recipe:

1 tablespoon olive oil
1 onion, finely chopped
3 stalks of celery, finely chopped
1 carrot, shredded
4 tomatoes, chopped or 1 (14-ounce) can diced tomatoes
1 teaspoon dried basil leaves, crumbled
3 cups of vegetable or chicken stock
Salt and pepper to taste
Heat the oil in a large pot and saute the onion, celery, and carrots
until vegetables are tender.
Add the tomatoes and basil. Simmer over low heat, stirring occasionally,
until tomatoes are softened.
Transfer the mixture to a blender or food processor and carefully blend
until smooth. (Caution! Hot liquids create steam which will blow the top
off the blender! Be sure to securely hold blender lid down!)
Return pureed mixture to cooking pot and combine with the stock. Simmer,
uncovered, until soup is reduced to the desired consistency. Season with
salt and pepper to taste.
Makes 4 servings

Funny thing about most Greek & Serbian cooking...the quantity of
ingredents are always just suggestions and generally a mixed to taste or
prefrence....

My Babi made an awesome Chicken noodle soup (which is where I learned
mine from) but it starts with a 3.5+ lbs chicken boiled for Stalk and
everything else is like add this or that and a little of this (with no
set amounts)...yet it always turns out great as long as you don't start
with too much water for the size of the Chicken....

man, I haven't had a thing to eat all day and all you nice people are
talkin' about eating! Now all I have to do is get my carcass off the
chair and try to make myself something to eat. It would be great if I
had someone around to cook for me....but, sob!!, I don't!
