I was in the same place you are now. I must have applied for 75-100 jobs, with NO ONE hiring me. The internet has never been a good place to find a job, too impersonal and we're all just a bunch of colorless, lifeless people. Give me an honest face to face encounter with good eye contact, give me 30 minutes of your time, actually read my resume, and they'll hire me on the spot!! I feel your frustration Atlantis, hope you find something soon!
I hear you! All my jobs were face-to-face hiring (or through friends), although they were part time jobs. I'm gonna be honest..I never had a real job, since i was in college until 2004, and afterwards, I had to get something to pay the bills, so i worked with a guy on construction. While doing that i was doing my applications, but so far, I'm still doing what i was doing since 2004, and it's pretty much living paycheck to paycheck. All jobs are "real" no matter if they are full time or not! We do what we have to, to survive and fortunately or unfortunately with this economy most people are living paycheck to paycheck. If I knew the economy was going down hill, I never would have moved here to Ohio from Long Island. I would have stayed where I knew I was getting a decent paycheck. Keep your spirits up, and keep plugging away! You'll be fine
