I have met a few ppl online (as friends) even went to a friends wedding
were she met her husband and are very much in love today,I know several
ppl have met and got married and some who just didnt work out but yet
remain friends,but i agree you should meet in a public place and see if
they are the person they say they are.myself I love laughing and having
fun but I am shy till I get to know someone and I let everyone know that
up front..

i agree also , and so many ppl get the 2 mixed up.but do you really know
anyone inside out ?

i stayed with my ex for several years for the kids,but it was making
them misarable and both of us,and when we do talk we try an get along
because of the kids,but its hard when your ex's g/f or b/f which ever it
may be.doesnt want the 2 of you talking,so sometimes it may be best to
try not to try ,cause I know I loved my ex with my all and then some but
it wasnt enough to hold us together....

I tried to be friends with my ex due to the fact that we have kids
together,but the woman that he lives with doesnt like the idea of us
talking cause she knows all I gotta do is say come home and he
will(never will happen)but we went 3 years without exchanging a word or
him even talking with the kids,this summer he called and wanted to see
them , so I left it up to them , they went and spent 10 days with him
and I think they have spoken to him 3 times since they been back,so
sometimes its hard to be friends and talk without opening old wounds or
statring war(which can be done easyly) lol

Im new to the site myself ,and noone can nver have to many friends,and I
believe you should be friends before anything else myself....

I guess I would have to say I learned to be a stronger person,I was
married for 16 years and I learned alot about myself.I also learned what
it feels like to have your world turned upside down over night,But
things always happen for a reason ,and we do learn from our mistakes and
try not to repeat them....
